1st Vacation- Gatlinburg

This past weekend we went on Tillie Ann's 1st vacation. We took her to Gatlinburg, Tn. We had so much fun. We took her to our favorite places, so hopefully one day they will become hers as well. Here are some picture from the weekend.
Tillie's first "taste" of the creek where she will spend so much of her time when we go back.
Mommy and Tillie waiting to go eat at the Apple Barn. This is our favorite place to eat in the mountains. She is ready to get into something at the cabin.
Her daddy and her waiting to go eat at the Apple Barn. YUM YUM! Here she is doing her new favorite thing: Eating grass.
Tillie is waiting to go and eat. She is wishing she wouldn't have to have her picture made AGAIN!
Tillie has a new love for water. This is her playing in the fountain.

Thank you On-Star and Donna!

Wow, can I say that I am so thankful for aunts and On-Star. On this beautiful Thursday, Tillie Ann and I went to Wal-Mart for some last minute items before her big 1st vacation weekend. We are having fun playing with the receipt and I go to quick start the car to cool it off before I put Tillie in there. Great invention or so I thought. I put her in and drop the keys in the cup holder and put the diaper bag with my cell phone in the car. Little did I know if you crank the car with the remote that the door will automatically lock. Well I am not thinking about what I should have been and I shut the door. As soon as I did I knew the doors were locked and my stomach dropped to the hot asphalt. So, I tried not to panic and checked all the doors to make sure that by chance, one would be unlocked. NOPE. So I thought Lord send someone to help me quick. Don't go and call DHR on me or anything. The car was running and the A/C was going fast and Tillie was laughing watching a movie oblivious to what was going on outside. Well, I looked up and noticed that my Aunt Donna's car was across the parking lot so, I run back in the store and have her paged. I tell her what was going on and she comes with me outside to the car. I get her cell phone and start dialing to find out On-Stars number. Well nobody is answering. A sweet man is watching and walks over and says I used to work at the local Chevy dealership here is the number. I call them to get the number to On-Star. I call the wonderful people there and within a minute my doors were unlocked and Tillie and I were reunited once again. I told the hubby that is one bill that will be renewed on this car, not XM.
Moral of the story: #1 (according to the hubby) keep the cell phone in your pocket.
#2 don't quick start the car just hurry up and get the items in the car and then crank it normally.
THANK YOU SO MUCH DONNA!!!!!!!

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to http://www.mycharmingkids.net">her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. And now, for my weekly therapy session. It feels good to let it all out. Then again, I'm not talking about me in this post at all! I was not playfully kicking my husband and was not wanting to be the last on to get a jab in when he got up to change Tillie's diaper that I almost caused him to drop her. I would never want to inflict pain on my husband. I did not put Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on just so I could get a moment to check my facebook. I would not use TV as a babysitter. I did not allow my child to wear a dress to church Sunday that was 12 months and a little too big just because it was too cute. I did not let Tillie Ann take a shower with me just so the hubby could get her out and I could have a moment by myself and not have to worry about her falling asleep with out a bath. I would never be that conniving.

Swingset Update

UPDATE!! This weekend things got really rolling on the swing set. Buddy and his dad almost finished, but I am told it will be finished tonight. So here are the updated pictures. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post the final product.

Playing Outside

After several days of it being cold, we were finally able to get outside for a little while the other day. Tillie Ann loves to be in her walker and stroll around the garage and on the driveway. It had rained and the driveway was a little muddy. Guess where she "walked to"? You got it right to the mud.
Doesn't she look so guilty! She takes after her mommy. :)
Before the mud. Gotta love those little feet.

My New Play Set

This past weekend we found a deal on a play set for Tillie Ann. I will post the process of building this extravagant thing as Buddy and his Daddy work on it. It says on the directions 8-10 hours for two people. We will see! This is what it looked like before they ever started working! Here is the first night of work. Look who is also helping!! She is so excited. I'll keep you posted on the rest of the process.

Easter 2009

Easter was an exciting day full of church, family, and a lot of giggles. The day started off with daddy going to sunrise by himself because Tillie Ann didn't sleep well at all. I think she was so excited about the Easter bunny or it might have been the tooth that she is cutting. Who knows!!! When Buddy got home from church the Easter bunny had arrived. Tillie Ann was so excited to see all the things that she had gotten. Buddy and I had a little talk with the Easter bunny and decided to get her a pearl bracelet for her first Easter. So, tucked away in a little rectangle box was the smallest pearl bracelet that the jeweler had. It is so precious! Then we went to church and had a wonderful service. Then off to Granny Ham and Daddy Jack's for the annual Easter pictures and lunch. We enjoyed spending time with family that we hadn't seen in a while. Here Tillie Ann is with her BB, her cousin Makenzi and the family picture. After we finished hiding eggs, we left and went to The Sweat's. We had a wonderful Easter!!
